Local Missions focuses on the immediate community surrounding our location and the Kansas City Metro area. We mobilize in various ways to impact lives through practical and spiritual means.

Open Table trains congregation members, through the Open Table Model, to form communities - called Tables, that transform their vocational and life experiences into tools our Brothers and Sisters, who are experiencing hardships and distresses, can use to develop and implement plans that create change. Mission Blitz Day
Mission Blitz day is a one-day service project in the early days of Spring. It is a service project with the objective of infusing our community with the love of Jesus and it is our largest service project day of the year. With projects for every skill and age level, this is a great opportunity for families to be involved in a service project together. For more information or to get involved in Blitz opportunities,
contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mini Blitz Opportunities
In addition to Mission Blitz Day, we also facilitate regular opportunities for you to serve others as we serve Christ. This could include a variety of diverse opportunities when we go into communities to show God’s love in practical ways. Some of these ways include distributing hygiene kits, movie nights, home/property improvement projects, involvement in community activities, and assisting local schools. For more information or to get involved in Blitz opportunities, contact the church office at email@example.com.
Kansas City Rescue Mission
Central Church prepares and serves dinner at the Kansas City Rescue Mission on the second Saturday of each month from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Creation Care Ministry
The Creation Care Ministry exists to promote environmental stewardship in our church and community. We believe that Genesis 2:15 (The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it) calls us to care for and redeem the world around us, instead of simply consuming it. Current projects within the Creation Care Ministry include recycling within our church, a community garden (with produce donated to a local food pantry), and a park cleanup at Matt Taylor Park three times a year.
