Dear Central Church,

One of the greatest gifts God gives us is the privilege of praying for one another.

This Sunday we'll continue our Watch and Pray series by looking at one of the most remarkable moments in Abraham's life. After encountering the Lord and receiving the reassurance of God's promises, Abraham immediately turns his attention toward others. Standing before God, he intercedes on behalf of the people of Sodom, pleading for God's mercy.

His story reminds us that a deep relationship with God is never meant to end with us. As we draw near to the Lord, he invites us to carry the needs of others into his presence. Prayer becomes more than a personal spiritual discipline—it becomes an act of love for our neighbors, our families, our friends, and even those who seem far from God.

Jesus calls his disciples to "watch and pray." As followers of Christ, we are invited to remain attentive to God's work while faithfully praying that others will experience his grace, his presence, and his transforming power. God, in his wisdom and goodness, chooses to accomplish many of his purposes through the faithful prayers of his people.

Who has God placed on your heart? A child? A spouse? A friend? A coworker? Someone who has wandered from the faith? This Sunday we'll be encouraged and challenged to become people who faithfully stand in the gap, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of his people.

I hope you'll join us this Sunday as we worship together and discover what it means to watch and pray for others.

KidCentral Update

We're excited to share that KidCentral Preschool continues to make great progress! The downstairs remodel is moving along nicely, with new flooring being installed this week and the expanded classrooms freshly painted and being prepared for students. Even more exciting, construction on the new playground began this week!

Thank you for your continued prayers and generous support. Please continue praying that every remaining detail comes together smoothly as we prepare for our September 21 opening. We believe God is going to use this ministry to bless children and families throughout our community, and we're grateful to be taking this journey together.
