Dear Central Church,

What does God do with our faith? Honestly, it’s a mystery as to how it all works, but as far as I can tell, every miracle in Scripture is in response to faith.

This Sunday is Faith Promise Sunday—a time each year when we celebrate our global church family and consider how God might want us to participate in His mission around the world.

So, what is Faith Promise? It is a commitment to give above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings to support the mission of the Church of the Nazarene. More than simply another offering, it is an opportunity to trust God with our resources and join Him in what He is doing around the world.

And your generosity really does make a difference.

One of the missionary couples Central supports is Robert and Kristin Encarnacion, who serve as Teams Coordinator in Costa Rica. Recently, Robert led a Work & Witness team in a construction project for a rural church that had outgrown its building. With an expanded facility, the pastor is excited about the opportunity to welcome and serve even more people in the community.

Your Faith Promise giving helps make stories like this possible. It builds churches, equips leaders, sends missionaries, and creates opportunities for people to encounter the transforming love of Jesus.

This year, our Faith Promise goal is $205,000—the largest goal we have ever set. That's a God-sized goal for a God-sized vision. To learn more or make a commitment, click here.

We are especially excited to welcome Camilo and Sara Gonzalez as our special guests this Sunday. Camilo serves as the Nazarene Missions Teams Coordinator for the USA/Canada Region and helps churches engage more deeply with outreach initiatives across the region. He and Sara have served in missions since 2017, including four years in the Africa Region in Cabo Verde and Equatorial Guinea. But perhaps most importantly, Camilo and Sara are part of our Central family. Central is their church home, and we are blessed to have them worshiping and serving alongside us.

Faith Promise is ultimately about trust. We don't know exactly what God will do with the gifts we give, but we know that when we place what we have in His hands, He can use it to accomplish far more than we could ever do on our own.

Will you prayerfully consider making a Faith Promise this year? Ask God what He might want you to give above and beyond your regular tithes and offerings. Some can give a lot, others a little, but together our generosity can help build God's Kingdom here in our community and around the world.

I can't wait to see what God will do through us!

On the Journey Together,

Pastor Mark
