Dear Central Church,
Happy Mother’s Day!
As we approach Mother’s Day, I was taking a moment today to thank God for all the amazing women in my life. In our congregation is a host of extraordinary women—mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, mentors—who reflect the love, strength, and grace of God in so many powerful ways.
The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 31:30 that "a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Throughout the Bible and in our own lives, we see the hand of God moving through the leadership of faithful, prayerful women whose lives are marked by devotion, service, and sacrificial love. Their impact on our families, our church, and our community is immeasurable.
This Sunday, we will not only recognize and celebrate our mothers, but we will also reflect on the beautiful legacy of godly women who have shaped our faith and continue to inspire us. Join us as we give thanks to God for the incredible gift of mothers and the women who walk faithfully in His purpose. (Also, we have a special treat to give away to all ladies in attendance!)
New Sermon Series: Holy God…Holy People
I’m excited to begin a new sermon series through the book of 1 Peter entitled “Holy God…Holy People.” This series of messages will take us to Pentecost Sunday (May 31), inviting us to think about the call to be both set apart from sin and for the mission of God.
Upcoming Events
Finally, just two things to get on your radar: board elections are May 17. Click here to view a profile of this year’s candidates.
Pentecost Sunday is May 31 and we will celebrate the person and work of the Holy Spirit in one combined service at 10:30am. Central has more than 30 different countries represented in our fellowship and if you would like to carry a flag representing your home country in our “March of Nations” during this service, please email our NMI president, David Cooper.
May God continue to bless you and fill you with hope! I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
With Resurrection Hope,
Pastor Mark
