October 30
Dear Central Church,
We often say at Central Church, “You belong here.” It’s more than a friendly greeting — it reflects one of our core values: Life-Giving Community. We believe that everyone who walks through our doors has a story that matters deeply to God. Through the power of Christian community, those stories find a home, a place to grow, a family to welcome them home.
The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 15:7, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” When we welcome others — when we truly make space for people to be known, loved, and connected — we are reflecting the very heart of Jesus. That’s what it means to be a life-giving community.
As we continue celebrating Clergy Appreciation Month, I want to express my gratitude for pastors on our staff who help ensure no one at Central has to walk their journey alone:
Rev. Raymond Moore serves faithfully as our Executive Pastor, pouring out compassion and care while also stewarding our finances and facilities with excellence. His ministry helps create a safe and supportive environment for people to experience God’s love.
Rev. Chad McAdory leads our worship ministries with the purpose of helping us encounter God together. Through music and the gathered church, he reminds us that worship unites us — drawing us closer to Christ and to one another.
Rev. Brin Eisele serves as Pastor of Communications and Worship Arts, ensuring that the good work of God happening in our church is shared clearly and creatively. She keeps us connected so that fewer stories go unnoticed, and more people find their place in the family.
Rev. Emma Zehr is our Connections Pastor, leading our Care and Connect team to walk alongside newcomers and help them take meaningful next steps. Her heart for people and passion for belonging ensure that every person knows they matter here.
I’m thankful for each of these leaders and how they embody the love and welcome of Jesus. Let’s continue to pray for them, encourage them, and join them in the important work of creating a life-giving community where every story belongs.
Until He’s Finished,
Pastor Mark
