Our calling as a youth ministry at Central is to equip people to engage their world with the Good News. Jesus is the Good News for the world, so our best efforts are to help students and their families get to know who Jesus is, and then to invite them to respond to that knowledge.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

6th - 8th Grade

Central Middle School Ministry exists for students in grades 6-8 to walk together as a community being formed in Christ. Our ministry team intentionally seeks to value every single student, affirming their personal journeys through the sometimes rocky journey that is Junior High. We believe as they discover more about God, themselves, and others, they will thrive as, together, we emphasize Discipleship, Service, Community, Worship, Learning, and Family.

Sunday Morning

Bible Quizzing

Our quizzing team meets at 8:00 AM on Sunday mornings. Each year our quiz team studies and competes with our district churches in memorizing and studying Scripture together. This group connects deeply with each other and grows in the knowledge of God’s Word together. Join the team!

Middle School Formation Groups

Every Sunday from 9:45-10:45 AM our 6th-8th graders gather in three different groups divided by grade journeying through the story of God together. These groups meet within rooms in our Student Center.

Wednesday Evening

Youth Group

We meet for Youth Group each Wednesday at 6:30 PM. Wednesday nights are our most important rhythm as a youth ministry. It is the opportunity for students to come together as a community, united in worship, play, prayer, music, teaching time, and small group discussion. We begin our meeting time in the Student Center with the High School group for both announcements and worship through music. Then, the Middle School group moves into the Fellowship Hall which gives us plenty of space to play games. We hear a message from the Word and then break for small groups divided by grade and gender. These groups are led by our incredible adult small group leaders.

Our ministry team is committed to walking alongside students as we grow together as a family. We challenge our students to going deeper in their walks with Jesus by emphasizing Discipleship, Service, Community, Worship, Learning, and Family.

You are invited to join us as we grow to becoming more like a family as we experience who Jesus is and how he’s at work in our lives.

Events

Crazy events are a part of our student ministry, but they’re not without purpose. We need time spent together to learn to love and grow with each other. Plus we like to have fun!

There are great events throughout the year that we participate in as middle school,
senior high, our entire youth ministry, with the district, and with our denomination.

Awesome big events you don’t want to miss include summer camp, retreats, senior trip, and mission trips. These events may cost extra, but we believe they change lives!

Parent/Pastor Conferences

Parent/Pastor Conferences are an opportunity for you, as the primary faith influencer, to sign up and meet with an Age Group Ministry pastor for a one hour time slot to simply talk about your child and his or her spiritual life.

Milestones
