Dear Central Church,

As we approach Mother’s Day, I was taking a moment today to thank God for all the amazing women in my life. In our congregation is a host of extraordinary women—mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, mentors—who reflect the love, strength, and grace of God in so many powerful ways.

The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 31:30 that "a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Throughout the Bible and in our own lives, we see the hand of God moving through the leadership of faithful, prayerful women whose lives are marked by devotion, service, and sacrificial love. Their impact on our families, our church, and our community is immeasurable.

This Sunday, we will not only recognize and celebrate our mothers, but we will also reflect on the beautiful legacy of godly women who have shaped our faith and continue to inspire us. Join us as we give thanks to God for the incredible gift of mothers and the women who walk faithfully in His purpose. (Also, we have a special treat to give away to all ladies in attendance!)

Pastor Bethany Acre will be preaching this Sunday, and I’m excited to hear what the Lord has put on her heart. She is not only a gifted communicator and devoted pastor, but she recently became a mother! She’s in a season of life that many of us can relate to as we balance raising children and the demands of our vocation. Her story reminds us that “we can do hard things” because “God is for us!”

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at Central Church!

In Resurrection Hope,
Pastor Mark
